Annica Thomsson is based in Oslo, Norway but grew up on the island of Gotland, Sweden, in the Baltic sea.
She started out as a photographer in her teens, with strong roots in a combination of the Swedish docomentary tradition and press photography. After three years at Nordens Fotoskola, Stockholm, she moved to Norway where she later took a master in Visual Communication at Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry.
These days her main inspiration is on small, everyday events and the nature just outside her door. Her ambition is to capture these events with an element of mystery. To explore new ways of seeing.
